You'll need: swimming goggles, a swim cap, swimsuit, soap, slippers, a towel, a kickboard (many pools lend them), and a smartphone to follow lessons poolside. A waterproof phone case is optional but handy.

The course is 8 sessions. Training 2–3 times a week, you'll finish in about 4 weeks. You get 2 months of total access so there's no pressure if life gets busy.
